Account Manager

Whether you have worked in transportation before or are brand new to the industry, we will train you and give you the tools needed to flourish. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling PPL’s services in order to start and grow your own book of business. We offer a base salary + unlimited commission on a sliding pay scale. There is no ceiling to the amount of money you can make. The amount of effort you put in is solely responsible for how much $ you take home.

Daily job functions of an Account Manager:

  • Cold calling new customers in effort to develop lead lists
  • Following up with existing leads in effort to secure new business
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with current customers
  • Quoting customers competitive prices based on current market trends
  • Working with carriers to secure equipment for your loads
  • Tracking loads and communicating updates to customers
  • Collaborating with co-workers in a team oriented environment

What we look for in a Logistics Account Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong communication, negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Competitive nature with a sense of urgency in a fast paced environment
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Team player with the ability to multi-task
  • MS office proficiency and the ability to type at least 50 WPM
